it doesnt matter how slow i build my strategy would ensure that i succeed at making this base. If i can travel to the moon early game, i would and with no limits since apparently my resources income for infinity. This is of course assuming that games wont last the time required to set up moon crashes which i hope would cost expedient amounts of resources. The end game strategy for me would be either -> rush econ, set up towers for early defense while producing minimal units -> steamroll -> win. Its an oversimplification of the economic systems. > here all i see is well i can always build anything! the reason this msotly ruins the game and ruins the strategy of economy is that you basically assume your economy has infinite resources, incoming forever, and even when you drop to negative resources you somehow still have them. This also prevented players from steamrolling their enemies as easily.

once upon a time units used to have to move from resource to drop site. My point on the economics is supply lines. When i started playing AOE 3 its the first thing noticed was skewered and different and was one of the main reasons i did not really enjoy playing it. Really i feel that this economic aspect is one of the most critical parts of any RTS. Realistically the game even takes away from the economic aspect of RTS's as many have in the past. The porblem here is that, if you manage to hide in that corner you may eventually end up killing your opponent with one meteor. The thing is the fact that you can be flanked from all directions was always existent and you are still able to hide in corners. The excuses that it brings so much more tactics to play to me is an absurd statement. The problem now arises is this game a revival of the RTS genre or is it just another dumbing down of the complex structure that we were presented with in for example Rise Of Nations. Same with games like Empire earth 2(EE2) or Age of Empires (AOE) etc. These games to me where somethign that trully resonated as an RTS. it was Called Age Of Mythology, i now own both the original game and the titans expansion. I am a huge RTS fan don't ge tme wrong, in fact the first gaem i ever played was an RTS. ( I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK THIS GAME WILL BE REVOLUTIONARY OR NO, IF SO WHY?) AND THIS IS NOT A PRICE FLAME WAR JUST MY EDUCATED RANT ON THE GAME FEATURES RELATIVE TO THE RTS GENRE.) IT SHOULD BE NOTED I DONT OWN THE GAME BUT I HAVE WATCHED ENOUGH GAMEPLAY VIDS AS TO MAKE AN EDUCATED GUESS. (THE FOLLOWIGN IS MY OWN OPINION AND REVIEW OF THE GAME AND FEATURES.
